by DianaThis week, we were blessed with Rachel Norris of Joy Pottery. She gave an overview of the process of making pottery and then after a dramatic and emotional remolding, she shared her story of God’s work in her life.
But now, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay, and you are our potter;
“Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots!
Does the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or ‘Your work has no handles’?
The potter chooses the clay for a particular purpose just as God chooses us with the purpose in mind.
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
God is good all the time. In the wedging, the centering, the forming, the trim work and the fire of the kiln.
